The 17th Session of the Sri Lanka Model United Nations (SLMUN 2024) Conference was held at the BMICH on the 17th and 18th of August 2024.

This year’s conference boasted over 1200 registrations from schools and colleges from all across the island. Their agenda involved several outreach workshops to numerous provinces, and partnering with various other MUN conferences, in addition to their conference competitions and partnerships.

CIS entered a diversified team of delegates, administrative staff and IPC members for this year’s conference. Ranging from Year 7 students to Year 13 school leavers, from novice delegates and administrative staff to seasoned MUNers, the entire delegation worked tirelessly throughout the summer holidays, researching foreign policy, brushing up on their talking points, practising rebuttals and polishing their counter-arguments. Their consistent determination and the winning attitude of the entire delegation was clear during their training sessions
