Sri Lankan Mathematics Competition 2019
2021-03-19

On 28th September 2019, the Sri Lanka Olympiad Mathematics Foundation conducted a challenging mathematical competition and we are very pleased to announce that a number of our students achieved great success in this.

The primary goal of these competitions is to aid participants’ critical thinking skills, encouraging ‘out-of-the-box’ strategic reasoning. We are very proud to congratulate the following students who demonstrated great aptitude in this area: Dulith Kuruppu (128 marks, High Distinction, Bronze Award); Soo Min Lee (110 marks); Ranuth Seneviratne (100 marks); Tatyana Jennelle Fernando (88 marks); Yashodhe Weerasekara (82 marks); Jaimie Tashya Fernando (67 marks); Soo Min Youn (137 marks; High Distinction).

We are also proud to note that the SLMC 8 Average Score for CIS students was 101.71, while the SLMC 8 Average of all students was 76.81.

Results have only just been received due to delays caused by Covid, which sadly also prevented the competition taking place in 2020.
